This painting has been an absolute joy to paint, and also a welcomed challenge. I had never heard of Guadalupe River before this opportunity was presented but after spending the last two months completely immersing myself, in what feels like every piece of media available on the internet, I feel I have been down that river, stood beneath those cypress trees, and watched as autumn sets in.
